Structure series

Here is the latest quilt in the Structure series: this one is about 50" square. I have had the urge to work in shades of red, and have one more red quilt that is big, waiting to be quilted. Here also is a picture of some of my dye-discharged pieces. It is interesting to see what color it ends up to be. I like the straight lines the best, and used some pieces in two quilts I have done recently.

  1. I'm really liking your return to work here and your experimentation with the dye pens. The black / tan on in a previous post is especially eye-catching with it's simplicity and delicate balance of chunky shapes. It works for me. Always love seeing new work from you Gail and am impressed with how far you've come in such a short time. More please!

  2. You are quite the architect. The balance of shape and color is so well done that it seems effortless although I know it is not. Beautiful Structure.

Your pen marks adventure is intriguing. I too like the straight marks as well. I think they cross barriers of time and culture. I think that is why I relate to them.
